Feral Exhibition
Emma Christie

Emma’s practice is currently within drawing, creating drawings based on the ‘mistake’ made within a particular working area. By tracing the mistakes left behind her aim is to take these marks which normally aren’t noticed and turn them into something much more. By having exact representations of the marks she is then able to turn them into simple linear drawings, these drawings start to map out the actions and processes of something being made within the studio. By using simple materials and mediums she allows for the nothings to become something in their own right. More recently Emma has turned to print making, allowing her to frame the marks she collects turning them into an ‘art object’, this allows the marks to transform into something different from what they first were.
