Feral Exhibition
Jill Clark

When Jill paints she is responding to people, experiences and situations. Painting enables Jill to explore and record her thoughts and feelings.

Jill’s current style is using the elements of chance, risk and choice. She says working with chance is like working with nature and daring to lose control for a moment is exciting and opens up new possibilities. Jill’s paintings develop on the canvas and her skills as a painter are challenged throughout the process. This technique produces the complex surfaces which perfectly represent the events she chooses to paint. Emotions, atmospheres and associations are encapsulated within their composition.

There is an openness about these paintings which suggests a rich world of imagery that transcends the original assumptions made and leaves the work open to further interpretation.
