Feral Exhibition
Hannah Lee

Hannah Lee’s current practice launches from a collection of Agatha Christie novels. The themes of her work stem from the obsession involved in collecting. She works with multiple platforms including performance, film and drawing which translate these themes into an action. How the viewer’s involve themselves and questions the action is significant to her practice and how she can alter the situation to influence them. The time spent creating the work becomes a pivotal element in her practice; showing a dedication outweighs the product. It starts with a book – a research foundation initially and then a material and conceptual source. Using simple text sequence films and sound and altering book pages; Hannah is questioning how we use language to construct narrative and the books place in today’s society. She uses multiple medias to shape and sometimes dictate how the viewer can physically view and perceive a narrative.
